In this exhibition, I took a single short story (Sundays, by Katherine Danks) and ‘expanded’ it using three different graphic techniques: photography, illustration, experimental typography. The three different versions of Sundays were presented as individual books. Viewers were invited to read each book, then reflect on how the typographic, the illustrative and the photographic elements in each version affected their reading. How do these different graphic techniques affect the meaning of the text? The reading experience?

I documented my design process and creative reflections in a journal – these process notes and reflections were presented as A2 posters in the exhibition. This work was an experiment within my doctoral research project.
